Sinker

Postby Back Door Bob » Wed Nov 04, 2009 2:50 am

Alright so Sinker has Adamantine/2, so any damage dealt to Sinker that is 2 or lower is negated. Also I forget when adding up my damage do I add my stength score or my modifier?

My stats that matter in this event:
AC: 21
Touch: 13
Flatfooted: 18
Adamantine Skin: Damage Reduction 2
HP: 67 (cannot heal normaly, Warforged only get 1/2 the benefit from normal healing spells and potions. Repair and mend heal full points.)
Strength: 18 / Modifier: +4
Initiative: 3
Base Attack: 5
Slam Attack: +5 Attack Bonus / 1d10 damage
Armblade: +5 Attack bonus / +1 Master Work / 1d10 damage

Initiative
1d20+3?[19,3] = (22)

Attack of Opportunity - armblade – Slashing – 1d10 damage +4 Strength
1d20+16?[4,16] = (20)

Normal attack - slam attack (open handed slam with my free hand) – Bludgeoning – 1d4 damage +4 Strength
1d20+15?[13,15] = (28)

OOC: If I made a mistake just change it as you see fit.

OOC: Sinker is now an NPC Tadk, do with him as you wish. I will not be able to post at regular intervals anymore. Feel free to do what you need to do with him to allow the story to progress. It has been fun playing with the both of you. Give that swarm hell Scorch! What ever Sinker does he does it for the benefit of Gregor. 8]

OOC: It's been a pleasure playing with you Bob. Who knows, perhaps in a year or two you'll pop back here to find Gregor and Sinker still trudging about the island :)

And tadK, I'll wait until you make another appearance before making another post. I wouldn't like to see this adventure die and I'd really like to continue it solo.

OOC: Hate to see you go Bob. I have enjoyed and I hope to game with you again when our paths cross.

Scorch I can send you Sinkers character sheet if you want. I have it around here somewhere.

So let me know that and we can continue with the 3 swarms of near undead caustic poison dealing wasps and Sinker.
Time to buckle down my good folk

OOC: It's alright, I can use the stats Bob made in his last post. Do you still have a copy of my character? Is it in the forum somewhere?

I am pretty sure it was in the private messages so I am going to say No i do not have your character sheet handy

Searching the laptop and flash drive, it must have been on my now dead desktop so no to either character sheet

Back to the battle at hand

There are three swarms of these wasps coming in, one is about to attack Sinker

Their init bonus is +10, their AC is 20, their BAB is +12

I am granting Sinker the first shot, there was plenty and ample warning

So roll to hit, then damage

OOC: Phew, the character is saved in the Characters area of the forum. This is a placeholder post and I'll make the full attacks later.

The strange woods that the two beings had stumbled upon holds strange clues and some sights not seen in most civilized lands. With this is the realization they are far from where the previous ocean voyage had started from.

But now they are stranded on an island with no obvious means to escape onto the high seas and hopefully back to the lands they are used to.

Until a seagoing vessel is located, survival is still of interest to the man and the machine.

At this time however there is the more pressing matter of three swarms of poison drenched giant wasps that are making their way towards Sinker there in the middle of the necrotic meadow.

Gregor was back from the combat watching the swarms futile attempts to poison his warforged friend. Still, he realised the swiping of an arm blade might need a little assistance. Moving forward as silent as the night, his hands slipped into his belt pocket, pulling out a couple of rotting eggs. With a flick of a wrist he tossed them towards the swarms, snatching up his hand crossbow at the same time.

POOOF

They were more than simple eggs. Enchanted to be a prankster's dream item. There was a flash as they hit the floor by Sinker's feet. Blinding smoke flooded the area for a few seconds, leaving behind a nasty taste of bad eggs. As Sinker swung his arm back and forth, batting away any vicious wasp he could, a couple of them just fell out of the air. One. Two. A third. From the shadows at the glade-edge flew bolt after bolt. The crossbow had been kept in such good working order, reloading felt as easy as a nocking an arrow. Even Sinker with his mechanically sharp eyesight, could not easily pick Gregor out as he moved through the shadows.

As thee smoke billowed out and about Sinker, his flailing be-weaponed arms would swat multiple wasps with each passage of the arm blades.
The crossbows were of less effect, simply due to the thousands of the wasps swarming the warforged hero. His armored body very proof against the stings, but even he could tell that with time damage would accumulate, as the acidic toxins ate into the magical body.

Gregor kept firing and as he watched the noxious fumes were having some effect on the insects, more and more of them falling to the ground, it seems the fumes clogged their breathing tubes and made it difficult for them to continue flying.
However there are so many of them.
